Our six Partners for Workplace Literacy sites are invaluable supporters of what we do. Washington Fruit, Stemilt, Columbia Fruit Packers, Custom Apple Packers, McDougall & Sons, and Northern Fruit have all committed to five years of financial contribution to the Literacy Council. In exchange, we organize ESL classes for their employees. Half of our students work at these locations.
Besides being our Spelling Bee sponsor, Crunch Pak also supports us through a grant they received from Wenatchee Valley College to educate their workforce. We provide onsite ESL classes to their employees as well.
Our advisory board members contribute to us in so many ways: with their insights, expertise, connections, time, event planning, and individual donations. Thank you!
Our friends at Cascade Unitarian Universalist Fellowship have given us so much ongoing support not just in a monetary sense but also in tutors and encouragement. We thank them for all they do for us.
A local chapter of the P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) donated novels that are the appropriate level for our intermediate and advanced students to read, but still interesting in subject matter.
Run Wenatchee partnered with us for their 5k/10k River Run on July 4th, and we received part of the event's proceeds.
Cascade Auto Center and Subaru generously donated $15,000 to us through their Share the Love campaign. Individuals purchasing a vehicle could elect to have $250 donated to us by Cascade Auto Center, which was matched by Subaru.
Through their birthday fund, Delta Kappa Gamma consistently supports our mission to educate those in our community and surrounding communities. Whether English speakers who need to learn to read and write or those who don't speak English at this time and want to learn.
For all of our unnamed but still extremely important supporters, we thank you.
It is your continued support that makes our mission do-able!
